Medical Assistance & Equipment Program

Alabama and Florida

Medical equipment available free-of-charge at any of our retail stores

Goodwill Gulf Coast’s “We Share Project” provides adaptive medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and personal care items, available at no cost, with partial funding from the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation’s STAR Program. Medical equipment is available for anyone to access free-of-charge at any of our retail stores. Equipment items are subject to availability but could include walkers, wheelchairs, bath benches, canes, bedside commodes, raised toilet seats, shower chairs, adult diapers and pull-ups, and more.

The Children’s Medical Assistance program provides financial assistance to individuals with disabilities for the purchase of medical supplies, adaptive equipment, devices, environmental modifications, or services which would lead to an improved quality of life and greater independence. Eligibility is based on evidence of need and is subject to availability of funding.
